Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh discovery learning terhadap motivasi belajar, pemahaman konsep, dan creative thinking siswa dan mengetahui hubungan antara motivasi belajar, pemahaman konsep, dan creative thinking siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen dengan non-equivalent pretest postest control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA N 1 Sentolo yang berjumlah 97 siswa. Sampel penelitian adalah 63 siswa yang terbagi di kelas XI MIA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Data motivasi belajar siswa dikumpulkan menggunakan angket motivasi belajar skala Likert. Data pemahaman konsep dikumpulkan menggunakan tes pilihan ganda. Data creative thinking dikumpulkan menggunakan tes uraian. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan MANOVA, Independent sampels T-Test, dan Uji Korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa discovery learning berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar, pemahaman konsep, dan creative thinking siswa. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara motivasi belajar, pemahaman konsep, dan creative thinkingsiswa.

Abstract
This research aims to find out the effect of discovery learning to senior high school students’ learning motivation, concept understanding, and creative thinking and the correlation between the learning motivation, concept understanding, and creative thinkingThis research is a quasi-experimental research design with non-equivalent pretest posttest control group design. Population of the research was all grade XI student, 97 students, of SMA N 1 Sentolo. The samples were 63 students as the sampel and they were devided into XI MIA 3 Class as the experimental groupand XI MIA 2 Class as the control groupThe learning motivation questionnaire Likert scale was used to gain the students' learning motivation. The multiple-choice test was used to to gain the students' understanding toward the concept. The description test was used to gain the students'creative thinking. Data were analyzed using MANOVA, Independent sampels T-Test,and Pearson correlation test. The results of this research indicate that discovery learning significantly influences the students’ learning motivation, concept understanding, and creative thinking and there is a correlation between the learning motivation, concept understanding, and creative thinking.
